Meet the talented and witty Tan Yan (Pei Lin's 8 year old daughter)

When offered some dates by Yoke Weng, the witty Primary 2 Tan Yan retorted: "Not only do I not like eating dates, I also don't like having dates." Mummy Pei Lin, who was just a few meters away, was surprised (or shocked?) to hear it and was adamant that her daughter had meant she not only did not like the dates offered by Yoke Weng but all other types of dates as well. We vehemently disagreed with her and asked her to check it out with Tan Yan who replied instantly: "I don't like the boys in my class." So Tan Yan was obviously referring to that kind of romantic dates.

Fantastic turn out to celebrate our nation's birthday

ABC Historian Choon Chiang (with his mammoth memory) throws light on the 9 Aug 06 photograph

Choon Chiang writes:

The 9 Aug 2006 group photo above was taken by a student using Ah Keong's camera. A total of 19 persons came for the run despite the long distance.

It was an interesting picture with many people turning up - the gang of four from Hainan Island, WLS from USA, Innocent from Pasir Ris (the taxi trip must have cost her a bomb), Jessica fresh from Parliament, Jasmine back from Atacama, Juliet on term break from the States, "newbies" Eric, Choy May, Peng Hong, Chee Kiang and David, the elusive Ah Keong, Goh CC preparing to go away to Abu Dhabi and of course Dearest Mui Keng ( I believe gallant Bee Lok gave her a lift as she would not have been able to drive to NTU). Present also were two out of three Leaders ( B&C) and the usual stalwarts like Yoke Weng, Seng Cheong and Bee Lok.

CC's Questions :

1. What was the combined age of the three ladies in front of Leader B ?

2. What was written on Dr Aw's Tee Shirt

3. What was the hairy ball-like object in Juliet's hand.

AYG (Blog Master):

1. If you can answer the 3 questions posed by CC, send me the answers...you stand to win an exciting prize.

2. I am still waiting for someone to tell me who was the male ABC runner whose pedicured toes I showed a few postings ago (on 27 July 2009).

19 (inclusive of 2 guests) turned up for Dempsey Road Run on 2 Aug 2009

19 turned up for the 2 Aug 2009 run. Those not captured in the photos included Evangeline, Raphael, and Chee Kiang.

Look at this ABC male runner's well-pedicured toes.

This male ABC runner has easily the best-pedicured toes amongst all the male runners. Who is he? If you feel yours are better than his, please let me know. For comparison, I have featured the toes of another male ABC runner (see photo below).
