Post marathon ABC Star Jump Test Demo by Leader A
Those who gathered at the breakfast table on 31 May 2009 at Changi Village Hotel (Lieng Seng, Judy, Suan Foo, Zoe, Lily, Jasmine, Pei Lin, Yong Guan and Eric) all agreed that to prove that a runner is free from abrasions, blisters and other injuries and that he or she is a seasoned runner (never mind the timing!), he or she should do the ABC Star Jump for at least 10 times. The video is recorded by Pei Lin.

Red ABC singlets to be issued first tonight
The new ABC singlets will make its debut appearance tonight at the Sundown Marathon. For those who wish to collect the singlet early, join us for the post-run breakfast at Changi Village Hotel at 9am tomorrow (Sunday, 31 May 09). We have only made exactly 61 singlets; according to the sizes you had indicated. The blue and green singlets will be issued at a later stage. See you tonight
New ABC Singlets will be out this Sunday morning
The new ABC T-shirts will be given out to ABC runners on Sunday (31 May 2009) morning at the Changi Village Hotel. Come and join us for the morning breakfast and collect your T-shirt. ABC leaders will have to decide how many T-shirts to give each member. One formula is to distribute T-shirt of one particular colour to each ABC runner first; keeping the other 2 colour for Army Half Marathon and the Standard Chartered 2009.

Subject: A very long story about my Boston Marathon race on 20 Apr 09
Hi everybody, I am very proud to share with you yet another Boston experience.
Ten years ago, I ran my first marathon. And in one conversation with Kheng Hua immediately after that, I told him that my life-time target was to run 10 marathons and I could then retire.
On Monday 20 Apr 09, I achieved that target. Here is an account of my experience in the cool (45 to 50deg F - 7 to 10 deg C) and windy city of Boston. In comparison to the first Boston back in 2006, this is similar and yet very different.
The day before the race, I attended a seminar of illustrious Runners’ World editors and amongst them the editor at large and winner of 1968 Boston Marathon, Amby Burfoot. His advice was simple: It is largely downhill from Hopkinton to Mile 17 and that’s when real running starts. He strongly advocated “control” – pace, stride, enthusiasm. I took that to heart and tried to follow his advice. But it was very difficult. “If you do not control, the first things that are going to go are your quads,” Burfoot said.
